TAI CHI 21-DAY SPARK (WEEK 3)8 Lessons
This Spark (Beginners) course will give you a systematic introduction to Tai Chi Chuan, so you can decide if this is a practice you'd like to add to your daily routines. Tai Chi is a wonderful practice that allows the practitioner to develop good coordination, improves balance, calms the mind and increases energy. It is especially nice option for those who find it difficult to be still and focus during a typical meditation.
Please consult with a physician before starting any exercise program. All exercise programs have a possibility of physical injury.
If you choose to engage in this exercise program, you acknowledge that you will do your best to focus and listen to your body and that you take full responsibility for your practice and any potential injury. Please be patient with yourself and enjoy your practice.
Two different techniques or practices will be introduced each day and you are more than welcome to pace your practice according to your learning capabilities or the time you have, to devote to your practice.
We'll begin with external practice, then delve into the internal work and eventually combine the two.
Here is an example of the Tai Chi form you can learn in our next (Ignite) Tai Chi program. You will learn a few of these moves in this Spark program to get the basic movement first, before you launch into the next program. Also, keep in mind that the camera can only of course capture the external movement, not the internal. To move the body with high level of grace and flow, one needs to understand and practice the internal movement, which will be further explained in the videos.
